If you’re a regular to the show you will know that as well as having exquisite taste in music, these fine fellas like to invite a guest to drop a mix in amongst their own wonderful selections.
Today’s guest sees the ridiculously talented, Nabihah Iqbal, in for a chat and guest mix. Many musicians like to speak of versatility, but Nabihah Iqbal has better grounds than most. She boasts an MPhil (focused on African history) from Cambridge, experience working in human rights law and a black belt in Karate!
Since 2013, she’s held a bi-weekly show on NTS where she explores music from different parts of the world. And in 2015 she hosted a four-part series ‘Relocate’, for i-D Magazine and Volkswagen, which looked at the reality of what it’s like to move abroad.
As a producer Nabihah was frmerly known as Throwing Shade, she ditched that moniker to embrace the name she was born with. With a string of releases to Ninja Tune, it seems there’s no end to this lady’s talents.
