Alex Downey has been supporting the UK electronic underground movement as a DJ, record-shop manager and now radio presenter for nearly 20 years. Based on the shored of Brightonia, he is a purveyor of all things Techno. Alex knows a thing or two about a dancefloor and has supported the likes of Underground Resistance and Derrick May.
As the main driving force behind the counter at Brighton’s highly respected and much-missed [covert] record store & web-site, he was instrumental in bringing quality Techno & House to the city – and beyond, developing along the way a boundless knowledge, vast record collection and infectious passion for the music.
Once a Month Alex takes to the 1BTN bunker for two hours with the excellent, Voyage De Lux. This show sees friend, sometimes Dj partner and another man with a stellar reputation behind the decks, Charles Green, join him for two hours of UK influenced Techno through to dubstep
