Father and son team, John & Felix Masouri, produce an excellent 3hr Monthly show for 1BTN, and the heritage rund deep.
John Masouri DJ’d on local sound-systems and community radio before embarking on a thirty-year career as a music journalist, specialising in reggae. His books include biographies of Peter Tosh and the Wailers, whilst his son Felix is a well-known Brighton reggae DJ and promoter, and a former selector with Sir Coxsone. Both Felix and Ish Ali run Global Beats who promote reggae tours around the country and are responsible for the majority of reggae shows held down in Brighton.
You can expect to hear names such as Chronixx, Protoje and Damian Marley on their wonderful show, which is a showcase for today’s reggae music, fresh from Jamaica and around the world!
