Underlying Oddities is a monthly show hosted by the Brighton based Martha Cleary, pulling together the best in new music, classic favourites and fresh remixes with a selection spanning Jazz, Soul and Funk to Hip-Hop, Electronic and Jazz. The goal is to create two hours of musical discovery that will also make you dance and sing along, with occasional mixes and interviews.
Martha works for independent record label Tru Thoughts, specialising in campaign management, press and radio promotion. She’s worked with artists across genres including Quantic, Hot 8 Brass Band, Alice Russell, Moonchild, Sly5thAve, Bryony Jarman-Pinto and more. Alongside Tru Thoughts and DJing, she writes monthly for online blog LAIDOFFNYC, highlighting the best in new music.
