Gig Guide #003 – April 2017

April is finally upon us and here’s part 3 of our featured bands to catch in Brighton for the next two weeks. If you have a gig you’d like us to include, email: info@1brightonfm.co.uk and put ‘Gig Guide’ in the subject box.

Black Honey – Concorde 2 (3/04/2017)

With their searing Tarantino-esque riffs helping to reach new audiences Black Honey are set to play their biggest home town gig to date at Concorde 2. The Brighton band have been going from strength to strength over the past few years and it seems every release is beloved by the music press and fans alike. With an album (hopefully) on its way, the band are getting ready to take things up another notch. Before they take on the world they’re taking on Concorde 2 – it’ll be well worth catching them.

London based electronic composer and singer Jamie Isaac Is set to take Sticky Mike’s by storm. His unique blend of spaced out synthesisers and quick fire drum beats is infectious and, combined with his soulful voice, he leaves plenty of room for experimentation. He has a long catalogue of mixes available on his Soundcloud page and these demonstrate his progression as a songwriter. After a brief US tour – Jaime gained lots of attention at this year SXSW festival – he is back on the home gigging circuit. Be sure to catch him when he stops by at Sticky Mikes; tickets are on sale and going fast.
