Laura Jackson is a Manchester-based dj and selector (via the West Mids) and the founder of recently formed grassroots club event, Do It Anyway, which is built on the premise of building community and keeping the underground music scene alive and authentic in independent spaces. Her style fuses her soulful roots with her passion for deep house textures and uplifting Afro and Latin-infused rhythms. She is a passionate record collector and is excited to be showcasing her diverse musical palette as part of her new residency with 1BTN.
Dj and selector with over 10 years’ experience DJing locally and internationally, and at various festivals across the UK. Also, part of a Manchester-based radio collective, called ‘out since friday’, which is on Reform radio. Passionate about bringing a vibe to every dancefloor and playing music that makes you want to move! I’m also a qualified social worker! I believe music is a powerful tool to bring people together, to challenge narratives and foster solidarity with each other.
