Felix Dickinson

A staple of the UK's underground dance scene for the last 3 decades, Felix Dickinson learned his trade in Brighton during the 90's DJing at free parties and illegal raves as part of Slack Soundsystem.

It was the mid 90s when Felix co-founded his first record label, Ugly Music (an offshoot of Brighton’s record shop Ugly Records). This was recently relaunched in 2021 on the 25th anniversary with all back catalogue now available digitally. In addition to Ugly Music Felix has put out music on a number of world-renowned record labels, including seminal imprints DFA, Rush Hour, Eskimo, Golf Channel, Claremont 56, Futureboogie Recordings and another of his own labels, Cynic. Complimenting his own productions Felix is also a renowned remixer, sought out by Artists as varied as Khruangbin and Tranquil Elephantizer.

After 30 years on the road at clubs and festivals across the globe his popularity continues to grow with high profile residencies for Houghton Festival, Croatia’s Love International and notably his revered annual closing set at Glastonbury’s Genosys, Block 9.

Playing and producing music characterised by a deep appreciation for the past, a love of the present, and a vision for the future of electronic dance music Felix is clear in his approach to the floor “A DJ has two jobs: to make people dance and introduce them to new music” he never fails in his bid to do both.
