Sara Garvey aka Comfy Bella will be hosting a monthly Comfy Bella radio show on 1BTN,
airing every second Saturday from 16:00-18:00 GMT. The show explores a wide spectrum of
music, from jazz and broken beat, neo-soul, disco, deep house / tech / funky / dubs & fresh
edits, giving listeners a glimpse into Bella’s wide-ranging influences and deep record
collection.
Leeds raised London based DJ, producer, singer-songwriter, and label owner known for her
eclectic and genre-blurring musical style, Comfy’s roots in began with freestyle hip-hop
vocals and contemporary dance. Her career quickly expanded to being signed to BMG
Publishing & global collaborations with the likes of Flood (U2, Nine Inch Nails), Nightmares
on Wax, and MJ Cole and most recently Steve Silk Hurley. As a DJ, Bella has played
alongside giants such as Dimitri From Paris, Floating Points, and MCDE, earning a
reputation for her diverse sets that span leftfield house, garage, disco, and everything in
between.
Garvey is also the founder of LIT Ibiza Takeover a party with a cult following known for
forward thinking curation, setting a tempo in Leeds & now Moonunit Records with their
debut vinyl 12” ‘Change The System’ now available. Bella’s own productions, including the
highly praised Konkahs EP and Tell Meh single and Knights have garnered major league
support. Her recent single, All I Need with Steve Silk Hurley, also received major support
from BBC Radio 1 Essential Music and global DJs like Paul Woolford and The Blessed
Madonna.
