AfroForce also known as DJ’s Mark Force and Afronaut of Bugz in the Attic here…
We’re the original founders of the legendary Broken beat CoOp Club and CoOperation label and currently looking after the relaunch of the CoOPR8 website.
Having become disillusioned with the then current House scene, Afronaut (formerly known as Afronaught) set up Bugzintheattic in 1996 after the closure of Mousetrap Records and Monkey Funk Label, in partnership with school Friends Nick Prince, Andy Hefft & Russell Bryce. The idea was to bring together a new collective of DJ’s, producers and musicians that would fuse and inject much needed live musicianship with contemporary syncopated beats into the growing electronic style of dj & programming within the numerous and splintered scenes or genres of music.
The goal was to create genre defying beats & rhythms that could be played across all genres.
20 plus years and hundreds of releases later from a plethora of artists, producers, singers alike…
We think it’s fair to suggest it’s time to share the vastly unknown unknowns to a wider audience and hence we’re extremely excited to join the 1BTN famalam sharing all of this fresh new music with you guys.
