Pete Herbert – Music For Swimming Pools Sept 2016

Pete’s Dj career spans over the last two decades since he set up and co ran the infamous Atlas Records Shop in London in the early 90’s. As well playing in his native London, and regular guest slots at clubs such as Fabric, Ministry of Sound and Sancho Panza at the Notting Hill Carnival, Pete has also traveled the world extensively with tours in Australia, South America, Asia and he plays regularly in Bali over the winter months.

Closer to home, Pete currently holds residencies in Edinburgh and La Dame Noir club in Marseilles and plays at festivals over the summer months including Electric Elephant in Croatia. When not DJing, Pete can be found in the studio working on various music projects. His production collaborations over the last decade have included Reverso 68 and Frontera with Phil Mison, Challenge with Tim Paris of Its a Fine Line and, most recently, with Dicky Trisco, releasing for Dicky’s Disco Deviance label as well as their own Maxi Discs and Paradise Row labels, specifically focusing on their particular take on disco and House. Other collaborations have included an EP with John Shepheard on Retrofit and work with Martin Denev in Bali for an album to be release on the Nang label.

As well as these collaborations, Pete releases his solo productions and has an extensive remix discography, including over 200 remixes for the likes of Röyksopp, Danielle Baldelli, Bottin, Faze Action and Tensnake, to name a few. He also has a weekly radio show, Music for Swimming Pools on running for over 3 years and he was recently voted number 3 in the top 100 Nu Disco/Indie Dance artists of 2015.
