A DJ for nearly 30 years , KM Editions (Kenny Wisdom) started out playing at local party’s in South London spinning a selection of Soul, Reggae, Hip Hop, Electro and then House.
By the mid 90s after a spell working in various record shops he was working A&R and club promotions for PIAS, a large Belgian independent label working with their European partners and various labels.
At this time he was also running a label from their London office called Pan, releasing mainly House music. Working with an array of artists from the US including Armando, Felix the Housecat , Kevin Saunderson, Tyree Cooper, Roy Davis Jnr , Mike Dunn, Glen Underground, Boo Williams Cassio Ware, Ron Trent , Jurassic 5 and also many artists from France, including Super Discount, Saint Germain, Laurent Garnier, Mr Oizo and Motorbass.
As a DJ, KM Editions can be heard spinning at various parties across London and at times in Europe. He was a resident at the now sadly gone Blue Note venue in London. It was here that he co hosted a club with Dr Bob Jones called Lift which ran for 6 years. During this time they promoted the best of London’s underground talent as well as many international DJs. Spinning alongside Glenn Gunner, Jazzy M , Frankie Valentine, the Idjut boys, Harvey, Phil Asher, Breeze, Paul Trouble Anderson and Deep Freeze Productions.
In 2006 he started working on a label under the name Keyboard Masher with his partners Barney and Joe to release a load of edits they’d been working on together. A highly respected label for those that know, KM Editions is now on its 8th Volume.
As well as KM Editions he also runs the Pleasure Unit and Pleasure Wave labels releasing music from Jonny 5, les Crocodiles, Telephones , Skatebard Lunar Concept, Miskotom and g Marie.
