Yes.. My name is Kris and I am also known as ‘Venum Soundʼ and iʼm a reggae addict. Spinning reggae selections and other bass heavy music like Jungle, Dub, Dancehall and Dubstep is a deep passion for me and am proud to be part of this station since its very beginnings- around the time I moved to Brighton many moons ago.
Over the years I have been lucky enough to play at some pretty big events and festivals including Bestival, Parklife, Lovebox, Reggae Geel, Snowbombing and Notting Hill Carnival; supporting many of my idols including legends like Lee Scratch Perry, Chronixx, Busta Rhymes, Nas, Major Lazer, David Rodigan, Shy FX , Goldie and many more dons in the game.
You can catch my ‘World a Reggaeʼ show every 2nd Sunday of the month, 4-6pm. Iʼll be keeping you up to speed in new and forthcoming reggae music from around the globe and also paying homage to the foundation years of reggae . Every now and then I do a bonus show called the ‘Venum Sound Showʼ, which is more on a joining the dots between reggae/dancehall to drum and
bass/Jungle tip. Expect the unexpected..
