Dreyfus (aka Local Zero) is a Northern bloke called Richard Dugdale who moved to Brighton 20 years ago because he heard it was a good place to live & it felt like a good idea at the time.
Having never set foot in the place he hired a van, loaded up his worldly possessions and never looked back. A hopeless vinyl junkie from an early age, he started buying rekids in the late 70s and throughout the 80s but really caught the bug in the 1991 when he first heard Sasha play in Blackpool & then went to Uni in Liverpool where he played at various nights at the Student Union & across the city, including Cream/Nation, Sankeys in Manchester & was a resident at Arcane in Newcastle. After moving down to Brighton in 1995 he became a regular on the free party scene and has played in most of the local pubs & clubs over the years, occasional gigs on London and a 3 year stint on Radio 4A.
His is mixes on Soundcloud have seen him develop a steady international following which have led to gigs in exotic locations like St Petersburg, Melbourne, Madrid, the Rocket festival (Spain) & Worthing. Musically he plays a wide range of styles including the deeper end of House & Techno, Funk, Soul, Disco, “Balearic” & the occasional bit of Jazz, Reggae & takes his fancy.
