King Provider

Tuesdays 3pm-5pm

King Provider is a group recently set up by James Everitt and Ben Noble. James is a budding rapper with a love of Hip-Hop and Neo-Soul records and Ben is a musician and journalist who currently writes articles for – among other sources – the Brighton Argus.

The idea behind King Provider is to record and film local unsigned musicians.

Aware of the outstanding local talent that Brighton and Hove has at it’s disposal, the two music lovers felt the need to try and help get the word out and to help and assist in the promotion of the chosen musicians by helping to raise their profile.

This idea has led to the radio show that they now host weekly on 1 Brighton fm.

Each week King Provider will invite a musician or two to perform a live set in the Beat basement at the 1 Brighton fm studios. They will also be interviewed and invited to talk about their experiences of life as they try to pursue a career as an industry musician.

Alongside the live performances both James and Ben will play a mix of music from their own collections, so you can expect a mix of modern Soul and Hip-Hop from James and a lesser-known mix-bag of oldies from Ben.

King Provider state that Quality not genre is the name of the game. So, if you are hoping to hear great live music from up and coming artists and a carefully chosen mix of records to boot, then this show is for you.
